Summer FAQs

Does my child need to bring dance shoes for camp?

For themed camps dance shoes are not required. If your dancer has ballet or jazz shoes, he/she may bring those to wear. We will not tap in any of our camps. Most dancers enjoy themed camp in their socks or barefoot as we do a lot of tumbling. Please be sure you have your child’s first and last name on all clothing/shoes.

Will my child need to bring a snack and lunch?

Yes. Please send a peanut free snack and lunch each day.

Does my child need to be a current member of Christy’s DancExplosion to enroll in camp?

No. Summer camp is a great way to try out CDE! Enroll your child and encourage their friends to join them!

What if I sign up for a camp but need to cancel?

All camps are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Once your child enrolls in a camp date, they cannot switch to a different camp. This ensures that each camp is sufficiently staffed.

Where do I sign up?

Registration is online. Click “Register Here” in the registration tab above. Find the camp or camps that work for your family’s Summer schedule and click “register” to the left of that camp(s). Full camps will show as “waitlist” to the left of the camp. Follow the online registration instructions.

What should my child wear?

For themed camps, we suggest comfortable clothes that they can move in and get a little dirty. Leotards & shorts, or shorts/jazz pants & t-shirts are a good idea. Keep in mind that for themed camps we will be doing arts & crafts & tumbling.
